Every track follows the same chords and groove, so the parts fit together from the first take.
Bass
Root, octave, fifths, walking, syncopated, funk, synth-pulse, arpeggiated, sustained or ostinato lines that follow the chords.
Chords
Voice-led progressions with triads, 7ths, 9ths, sus and add9, optional borrowed and secondary-dominant chords, and pad, stab, comping, strum or waltz rhythms.
Melody 1
A motif-based lead hook with phrase forms such as AABA, repetition with variation, chord-tone emphasis, pickups and breathing space.
Melody 2
Counter-melody, call and response, arpeggio, plucks, ostinato or harmony line, with a chosen relationship to Melody 1.
Drums
General MIDI grooves with density controls, ghost notes, swing, fills and crashes.
